Jay Hanson from Superior Scuba Charters and North Shore Scenic Cruises has helped the GLSPS on many projects. Jay has many years of experience as a Captain, dive shop owner, dive instructor and commercial diver.

Jay has taken a different path for the past few years and his scuba charters are no longer available. However, in 2012, Jay purchased the Wenonah which was previously used to transport people from Grand Portage, MN to Isle Royale, MI. He now offers day cruises on the North Shore of Lake Superior and is docked at the Silver Bay, MN Marina.

Oxygen Administration

*NOTE: The Society requires that all Captains / Operators, Project Leaders, Safety Officers, acting Safety Officers, Dive Masters, and crew members of the Preservation, to have current First Aid, CPR, O2, and AED Cards.

This class is also for those of you that do not have a First Aid, CPR, O2, and AED Card at all! It is not just for those that are renewing! Any member in good standing can sign-up. Even if you are not required to have a First Aid card, it is still a great thing to know and be able to perform these procedures for any emergency that may occur outside of diving.

Sign-up by contacting the shop. This needs to be done very soon! Scott recommends that you sign-up, pay and pickup your reading material at least two weeks before the class. He would like all students to read the material in advance.

Phone: 651-482-0977 or stop by the shop. For directions go to the Air Down There website.
The special price for GLSPS members only is $69. For non-members the cost is your membership renewal at $20 plus the course cost.
