The GLSPS FIRST Emerged in 1996
Accolades:
Programs and Projects- Over 200 Sponsored and Completed
National Register of Historic Places - We shared efforts in 10 nomination Projects.
Totally Restored from scratch the Research Vessel RV Preservation and is still in operation after 14 years.
Stabilization Projects – Underwater Construction - 3 – Major Projects.
Joined in the development of displays for 10 Museums and Maritime Public Facilities.
Facilitated 2 - Access Projects. (Hesper and Madeira along the North Shore of Lake Superior) In
collaboration
with the DNR.
Maintain Shipwreck Mooring's for 3 shipwrecks
PIB Program – Completed over 10 projects Above and Below Water.
S.S. Meteor - 16 years and counting on the largest Project the GLSPS ever had.
Published 3-books
Shipwreck Presentations Around the Great Lakes. Mostly conducted by Ken Merryman, Phil Kerber and a few others.
