GLSPS 25^th Anniversary

 

 

The GLSPS FIRST Emerged in 1996

 

 

• Accolades:

• Programs and Projects- Over 200 Sponsored and Completed
• National Register of Historic Places - We shared efforts in 10 nomination Projects.
• Totally Restored from scratch the Research Vessel RV Preservation and is still in operation after 14 years.
• Stabilization Projects – Underwater Construction - 3 – Major Projects.
• Joined in the development of displays for 10 Museums and Maritime Public Facilities.
• Facilitated 2 - Access Projects. (Hesper and Madeira along the North Shore of Lake Superior) In collaboration with the DNR. 
• Maintain Shipwreck Mooring's for 3 shipwrecks
• PIB Program – Completed over 10 projects Above and Below Water.
• S.S. Meteor - 16 years and counting on the largest Project the GLSPS ever had.
• Published 3-books
• Shipwreck Presentations Around the Great Lakes.  Mostly conducted by Ken Merryman, Phil Kerber and a few others.
• 21- Successful Shipwreck shows
• 3D Photogrammetry Image Database (New in 2020)
