We invite you to "Donate" to this worthy cause. The GLSPS and Canada spent a lot of time creating a multinational survey project to shoot 3D Photogrammetry Images of two ships, "Hamilton" and "Scourge" that sank in Lake Ontario Canada during the the "War of 1812"This type of project can be very expensive. The length of the project is two weeks and many categories of expenses are necessary to make this project successful. Food provisions need to be purchased, the best divers with the best qualifications are required, expensive photo/video equipment is needed and heavy Insurance expenses are eminent. Please help us with the funds we need to complete this long-awaited project. We may never get the chance to participate in it again. To learn more about the project, please go to the Calendar of Events and click on the June 2022 dates where it says, "Hamilton - Scourge Project". Scroll down the event page and read more about it in the Description.
This is a Fund that the GLSPS set up for our dedicated volunteers that have gone out of their way to help the GLSPS with many of our projects and that a spouse or the special volunteer has passed away.   Please donate what you can to help them either pay for their funeral expenses or a donation to their favorite Charity. Thank you so mush for your donation to a good cause! GLSPS Board of Directors
Please help us with the funds we need for documenting our shipwrecks using 3D Photogrammetry. This is a relatively new process we are starting in 2020.   We hope you can donate some funds to help us get started with this really awesome process.
This is a fund we need for the GLSPS Research Vessel, the RV Preservation. The donations / funds we collect go towards keeping the vessel safe, reliable, functional and comfortable for the members and crew during the season of projects. Currently we are seeking funds to replace the depth sounder / sonar and the Chart Plotter / GPS for the RV Preservation. Please consider a donation to help purchase new Navigation equipment for the Society's research vessel.
Please donate to this project to help study the Invasive Species invading our largest body of fresh water in the USA and that are attaching themselves to the Thomas Wilson shipwreck . We are also seeking funds to document this shipwreck and others along the Northshore of Lake Superior using the most modern 3D photogrammetry technology of today.
Donate Funds to help stabilize and preserve a one of a kind whaleback ship, which is now a "National Museum" Currently we need funds to install an emergency communications system that can be connected to the internet. This will help secure the museum from vandalism and provide a way for associates to communicate with the main office down town.
